About CapCityKids

Cap City KidsKids was created to aid with the influx of Hurricane Katrina storm refugees into Austin, Texas. Today, CapCityKids operates in 28 states and 30 cities, providing crucial support to vulnerable students facing homelessness.

CapCityKids is focused on developing innovative programs that provide direct resources to address the needs of homeless students and help them stay in school.

By collaborating with homeless school liaisons and leveraging existing government infrastructure, CapCityKids effectively bridges resource gaps and tailors assistance to meet each student's specific needs, helping them overcome educational challenges associated with homelessness.

The Capital City Fund for Education(CapCityKids) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2005 by Joslyn and Sean Dobson, together with the partners of Amherst Holdings, LLC to help children facing homelessness beat the odds and get a quality education.
